Ah, an original and creative title, if I do say so myself! So anyway, hi everyone! My name is Dan and I am, as the title indicates, from Denmark – Aalborg to be more precise. I’m currently studying computer science and my hobbies include running, reading, kayaking… and well, let’s be honest – I do like playing computer as well, even though it’s been a while now.

So, there’s a short description of who I am – looking forward to interacting more with all you lovely people! …eh, and hopefully learning some Japanese of course.

Hey hey! Vi er jo også et lille land, men det er godt at se der er andre ;)

Japanese language and culture has interested me for the past 10-11 years.. or possibly more. My stepfather introduced me to manga and anime, and I guess that was pretty much what started it. I eventually grew to like the language and culture as well. I especially find all the contrasts to what I’m used to inspiring.

After some years I decided to give Japanese a go, but that is not very easy seeing as only very few high schools teach it, and unless you can afford a private teacher the only other way is to pretty much learn it yourself or study it in college/uni. I did find a 10 lesson course at some point and signed up for it; while it gave me some useful resources it also didn’t do much other than introduce me to way too many concepts and essentially it just ended up confusing me. :P

After that my interest kind of faded for a while until recently when からわ少女 was recommended to me by a friend (it does have a little bit of mature content, but it’s a actually a good story). I started digging around on the interwebs for some self study options and – well, here I am. :)
