Hi Everybody!

5 years ago when I met my wife I had no plans on ever learning another language (English). But as fate would have it, she is Japanese (native Japanese and English), and plans on raising our children in a Japanese language home. Furthermore, her parents don’t speak English but live stateside in CA. I have realized that if I want to be able to develop a meaningful relationship with my in-laws and more importantly, help my children to communicate and know their grandparents, I have to learn Japanese.

So here I am. 5 years after meeting my wife and promising to learn Japanese, on the cusp of having children, and being only able to say oishi, I begin my journey to learn Japanese!
