    Hello! My name is Andrea and I just registered. This is my Self-Introduction suggested in Season 1, Lesson 0 (zero?). I live in Los Angeles. I play records and write music for a meager living. I get paid mostly in beer.

    I am studying Japanese for a couple reasons: I have Japanese friends who don’t speak much English, and I want to know what they’re saying about me from across the table (just kidding! but I do want to be able to better communicate with them). Also, my [non-Japanese] parents were married in Japan and lived there until I was conceived, so I’ve been interested in Japan since I was little. I was MADE there. grody, ne?

    Welcome! I’m new too. That’s cool that you were conceived in Japan, you should wear a sticker or something that says “Made in Japan” :D

    You’re a DJ in LA? That’s so cool! I’m a big fan of the beat scene that’s down there right now – the whole Brainfeeder crew. Do you have a link to any of your music?

    Also welcome :)

    Welcome to Textfugu, Andrea.

    Nice to meet you. Cool reason for wanting to learn the language. Have you had chance to go back to Japan since you were a fetus?!

    Thanks Guys! Sorry I’m lumping you all together, but I didn’t want to leave your kind posts without replies!

    @xyuki: Ha ha! I’ve thought about it! :)

    @Hashi: Not really into Brainfeeder, but it’s cool! I have a lot of vinyl from DFA Records. I also love old one-hit wonders like Ini Kamooze and Baltimora. I’ve been doing music on a work for hire basis, so I don’t own rights to anything I’ve worked on. I only know about this horrible disco song that was placed in a gay film called “Hollywood Je’ Taime.” I’m not posting a link. And thank you for the welcome!

    @Emma: Thank you! I went to Japan this year, for my birthday. It was a lot of fun, and I want to go back soon.

    @Winter: Thank you!
