    Hi! I’m Livvy.
I’m 25 years old and studying Japanese at the University of Sheffield in England.
On week 3 now and I’ve had ALL the grammar and vocab thrown at me, now we start Kanji – fun!
I have three cats, a dog and a human. I enjoy drinking beer, listening to k-pop and playing pokemon.
I’m hoping to get into a disciplined routine and to pass first year without breaking down and running off to learn Korean instead. Wish me luck!

Welcome! Stick it out, you’ll get the hang of it. =)

I did a Diploma in Japanese at UNSW. What textbook are you using? Kinda surprised you’re into kanji already – think we were barely starting on katakana by week three.

We had to learn all kana before we started the course – It’s ridiculously fast paced, we have 9 hours of language and grammar classes a week!

We’re using the basic kanji book vol 1, the red one. :)

Whew, nine hours. We only had five (though of course, we were expected to do another five hours of study at home).
