Greetings! Just came across this, and thought people here may have an opinion on this. How does it integrate into pre-existing learning regimes? What can I expect? It’s not very expensive. Here’s the link:

I’d just buy putting up some KS starter video on Steam, while going on about some apparently unrelated issue leaves poor first impression.

I’ve kickstarted this! It’s not very helpful! I’m not sure what more to say. It can teach you words but you’ll have to repeat them in Anki anyway.

Ah boo, I was really excited for a learn-a-language video game too. This just looks like a 3D vocabulary list.

Not from the desk of Eihiko. Eihiko's boss took his desk away from him.

Is it actually a game? I mean is there actually something to do to complete it or highscore or anything? Mayhaps a story to go though or is it just “walking around in an apartment and learn all the words”?
Somehow it reminds me of L.A. Noire but that’s just because of the gameplay.

You know what the best learn-a-language video game is? Any video game that’s in that language :D Well, not just any game in the language, try and find one that’s not *too* wordy or has furigana or something. You’ll probably learn a lot more that way.

Maybe that’s not the best for an *absolute* beginner, but it’s probably better than this game. I’ve not actually played InFluent, but it looks to me like “Anki: The Videogame” or like the real-world technique of putting Post-Its on various objects around your house.

That’s more of a resounding “eeh~” then. Too bad, but then I’ve managed to get here without it.
