Greetings, TextFugu!

Like most of you, I’m from the Internets and have more than a passing interest in all things Japan!

I saw my first anime (Cowboy Bebop, still my favorite) when I was 14 and have been hooked Japan ever since.

I’ve always kind’ve wanted to learn a second language and thought that maybe it should be Japanese but I hadn’t really made any real effort at it until earlier this year. I didn’t have the finances to attend any university language courses so I tried the self-study route but rapidly got frustrated and burned out due to lack of direction.

I heard about TextFugu from a different forum and decided to give it a shot. I feel like I’ve learned more in one week working through the free lesson than I did in two months on my own.
