    …to defrag the earth.

So, hi. I’m usually Defrag or Kalae.
And, er, I like video games and novels.

I’m a sophmore English major with a minor in Rhetoric and am pursuing something called an ‘International Option’. I’m going for my bachelor’s right now and plan to be a translation and localization expert. (I eat up linguistics puzzles and have always been an ‘English’ person. I once thought I was a ‘Computer Science’ person, which was quite confusing, as I excelled in my programming classes, but found out that advanced mathematics is evil, very very evil.)

If I could pick fictional characters to marry, they’d be Sarah Kerrigan or Chell (despite her brain damage) and Roland Deschain or Shadow.
    But, sadly, polygamy is illegal.
And they don’t exist, but that’s beside the point.

I am studying Japanese because it is logical. (How many video games do you think are exported from Mexico? Software? Novels?) I also find Asian culture interesting and my cousin was ‘extremely into’ all things Japanese when we were growing up, so I’ve had a decent amount of exposure to it.

Eh…I make delicious chocolate mousse and can’t really think of anything else to talk about…
    –Text-based games are awesome! Woo-hoo!

Hey Defrag! Welcome to Textfugu and good luck learning Japanese! Your fondness of Kerrigan means you play Zerg, right?

    Thanks~!
And yep. Zerg all the way. =)
I’m bad in that I actually would prefer never-ending campaign missions to straight multiplayer–though the SC2 beta was hella fun even without single-player.
The unfortunate thing is that I really like RTS games and am a bit cold toward FPS’s, but I am extremely good at CoD and only so-so in SC matches.

I do take solace in the fact that I can drink a whole bottle of wine and win at LotR Risk, though. XD’

Fkin Zerg players… lol… Get out. Haha.

Welcome to the fugu. What other games are you into? Where you from? US? And what kinda music you like? Japanese rock bands, right?

Mars: For the swarm! Lawl. Since you have such a gruuudge, are you going to pick up SC:HotS when it comes out? =3
I love both Portals and I know far far too much about Harvest Moon. (I’ve played them. All of them. And I spent three houurs correcting the strategy game I bought and figuring out the formula for maximum profit by studying various aspects of the recipe, harvesting, and store and market price systems. I take my simulations very seriously. oo’)
I also love text-based games–which they still make, you know, and for free. =3

Location? Georgia, U.S. It. Is. Hot.

As for music, I like a lot of stuff, depending on my mood. I end up listening to a lot of indie bands–genres: death metal, rap–ONLY indie rap–, jazz, dance punk, lots of ‘core (digital hardcore especially), synthpop, industrial rock…
Er, I like a lot of different ‘types’ of music, but I am very selective with my artists. Lol. Though, I actually don’t listen to music a lot anymore for some reason.
In regards to Japanese rock bands, I love the Volcaloids–the idea is just too cool not to–and listened to a decent amount of Malice Mizer a few years ago (I still love their Illuminati music video), but don’t listen to any J-genre music especially. Well, save for the DDR soundtracks, which I still hear in my dreams from my days of being a mallrat. Lawl.

    ——–

Kaona: Thank you! n.n Though, the ‘good luck’ felt as though it was being said after I walked through a heavy door and it was bolted from the outside while people screamed ‘Go Rancor!’ from above me. XD

Gods above…I’m a geek. >>’ Star Wars reference and explaining my Harvest Moon expertise…
I should go…smoke cigarettes and drink cheap liquor to reaffirm my ‘cool kid’ status.

EDIT: Put some hyphens all up in this.

Oh, cool, Georgia. I recently went there for the first time, just passing by on my way down to Florida. It was the least interesting state in the journey. LOL. From my experience, Georgia should be known for how damn foggy it is.

Heart of The Swarm? Hell no. I fkin suck at SC2 lol. I watched so many pro matches and loved it so much. Then I bought it and realized there’s NO WAY I can get good enough at hotkeys to be really skilled at that game. I can 4 gate noobs all day, but when I play against a real experienced player, they just beat me in speed. Just taking way more actions per minute. I know my strategies fine, and could block out an early Zerg rush, even with Protoss, but it’s just too much hotkeys. Lol. I stick to my League of Legends and Diablo 3 (soon soon soon), but still take time outta my busy schedule to hate on Zerg players. :D

Soon? Hell. I smell another Duke Nukem–they’ve pushed back the date for Diablo 3 how many times again?
    Lol.
And SC2 is all in good fun. =p Though, like I said, I’m a campaign person, so I haven’t played a multiplayer match against a random person since Beta. XD’

I do like watching matches, though.

I assume that you are a Terran player?
Feh. Let me tell you about pressure to be quick! When I play against a friend of mine–also Terran–I have to pay such close attention and be so freaking quick with everything. (I mean, Zerg is basically speed and numbers.)
He’s over there like ‘turtleturtleturtle’ and if I don’t get in early enough, I’m just slaughtered.
Terran and Protoss can bulk up a bit and take a beating–Zerg, not so much. Yech.
Though I kicked his ass at Risk–a game he insisted he was an expert at–so I’m fairly happy.

And Georgia is so not foggy. oO Where were you? XD Tennessee is quite foggy.
Georgia is just hot and constantly in a state of ‘emergency’ because we’ve had some harsh droughts–like right now, actually.
Dude…now that I think about it, I can’t really remember the last time it rained more than a few minutes…
    We’re going to die. ><'

Terran? God, no. lol. I played Terran during Noob League and just banshee rushed over the rocks, but I play Protoss when I’m being a tryhard. Wall off my ramp with whatever I can and build colossi, since all Zerg players are just noobs who zergling rush. :P Hahaha.

I’m Zerg. For the swarm and stuff. I never Zergling-rush, because it is simple to defend and boring. I enjoy my macro game and sneaky tactics. And vomit. I love vomitting queens. BLÖRRG!!
