I wanted to be able to “sign” PDFs using Japanese so I can finish my study sheets on my computer. I installed the Japanese fonts pack for Adobe, but when I try to type I still just get those little boxes ロロロロロ.I have a Japanese IME installed on my computer, so thats not the problem. Anyone else run into this?

I have the same problem. I have to restart my pc after turning it on in order to display Japanese characters. It never used to do this. When it doesn’t display the proper characters, I also just see rectangle boxes. I haven both the Microsoft and Google IME’s installed.

I’ve been trying to find out why this is happening but haven’t found a concrete answer yet. One theory is the fonts get corrupted somehow.

I think I might just re install Windows 7 again. I do that anyway every few months.
