I am a member of the US Military stationed in Japan. This is my second tour here. My first i regrettably did not learn almost any Japanese. Now that im back i am trying to focus all my free time to learn the japanese language to fluency. i am currently engaged to a japanese women and will soon be married with an entire family of japanese relatives who at the present time i can barely communicate with. My goal is to not only become fluent enough to enjoy a conversation with my father in law but to able to teach my kids and make them bilingual from an early age.

P.S I have actually had Fugu(Puffer fish) and it was delicious and I’m also not dead.

Welcome! You in Yokosuka or Okinawa? Or elsewhere?

There’s Yokosuka-ite who joined fairly recently. Maybe you could be study buddies if you’re in the same base. =)
