I bought this book yesterday

It seems good so far, the stories seem interesting. Have any of you got it?What kind of sentences can be expected to be found in the book? :)
Currently going through a sentence deck, buuuut I need some manga or other Japanese literature soon :DWell the stories are taken from real Japanese writers, so it is fairly high level.
There are six stories:
川上弘美：神様
乙一：昔夕日の公園で
いしいしんじ：肉やおうむ
吉本バナナ：ミイラ
北村薫：百物語
多和田葉子：かけるThey get progressively difficult.
Is this thread for general “read real Japanese” suggestions, or it it just about the book? Gonna post this here, either way. =D
Mainichi Shimbun has a section of its website with articles written for elementary school students (which, to be frank, is us). I haven’t actually given it a detailed look, because at the time I didn’t know very much kanji, but I might look it over again now that I’ve learnt more…

I’m going to look into that mainichi shinbun.@ Joel: There was a Tofugu article about newspapers for kids that was pretty neat, has Mainichi in it as well and two others. I’m not good enough to tell how the others compare but you could take a peek.
Oh, hah. That’s probably where I got the link from originally. No wonder I couldn’t find it written anywhere in my class notes. =)

That textfugu article looks rather interesting :D Seems like I might not have to spend any money, which is always good :D Reading something digital also makes it much easier to look up things..I own a copy of the fiction version. It’s awesome. I really have been meaning to do video coverage of all the books I own. I really should get to it. Would anyone be interested?
I would ^^ Mainly interested in pictures from the actual books, so I can find out what I can expect :P
I second that :) Would be very interested to see what resources you use and have used in the past, just since you’re so much more experienced than a lot of us here :P
