I’ve been using Anki for the past month, no problem.. but i just recently downloaded the “Japanese support” plugin from l-2 stroke kanji page… and now none of my anki decks from textfugu have sound anymore… i’m lost and really need the sound.

also, the mp3 file is still in the card, when i go to the browse menu…. any idea as to what this could be? i just want to back to studying the way i was.

    thanks

Is it possible that the media files have been stored somewhere else or that the file path has been corrupted??

sorry i haven’t gotten back lol.

ok well, as for being stored somewhere else, all the “media” file folders are in the same folder, and some of the older decks still have sound. i used to just import the .anki file and the sound would just be there when i went to review the cards.

    now it’s a crap shoot.

though, when i try to play the mp3 files that come in the download (4 stroke kanji vocab to be specific), the mp3 file either cuts out half way through the audio, or doesn’t play at all..

and i’m not sure how to set the file path in anki..

    blergh

Sorry to barge in, but I had a problem not too different. When I installed Japanese Support, all the radicals and some of my sound files have disappeared…..

This happened to me too with hiragana decks, but it resolved itself. My computer or Anki was running a little slow, so I had to wait a while after clicking show me answer to hear the sound. Hope this helps, we might not have the same problem.

I know this sucks, but have you tried reinstalling Anki? And like lunarman52 I sometimes have to wait a bit for the audio to come in. Or sometimes I have to click the play button to hear the audio. Though this is rare.
