Hello,
I have been using textfugu for a while and was wondering:I was thinking of going through textfugu as instructed but skipping the kanji and using wanikani instead- as the system seems much.. well.. better.
Any thoughts on whether this is a good plan or not?

Yeah, WaniKani is intended to replace TextFugu’s kanji section, so go for it.
