and then i was looking up lupin the 3rd episodes, when

頭（あたま）がどうかしている
which means “to be out of your mind.”
The form I actually saw was どうかしちゃった, which I think is a contraction of どうかしてしまった.
I learnt that in casual conversation です can be swapped out with っす
いいっすね
I learned about Japanese humour, and this phrase made me laugh…

I just saw that word in ラプンシェル. Children’s stories are bizarre sometimes.
Today I learned the phrase “言い出したら聞かない” (literally “when suggest not listen”), which means “obstinate.”
Today I learned another use of the の particle. The phrase “妻のおりん” means “wife [whose name is] Orin.”

Interestingly, in the first example 中 is read なか, whereas the second is read ちゅう.
