So I have two questions. The first is on the japanses address system. I read the article about it and have a question. I live in Japan but never actually understood my address ( I just use my apo for mail ) so after the postal code it has 1-5-10 (Area) (city) (prefecture) I know the one is my apt number, is 5 the house number and 10 the block number?

And the second question is about the word くすり I know the definition is medicine, but can it be used as drugstore? I see it on sings outside of stores that are similar to a Walgreens

Well thanks for Any help and imput ! :)

I know from textfugu that there is a kanji for ward/section of town that you live in: 区
Other than that I can’t be of much help.

    Lynndsay,

I believe くすり by itself only means drug(medicine). To change the meaning to drugstore, add や to the end: くすりや
