Hey everyone!
I want to hear all of your favorite proverbs and, why they are your favorite.
At the current, my favorite, is as follows.“明日の事を言うと天井の鼠が笑う”
‘If you speak of tomorrow, the rats in the ceiling will laugh.’I have always liked this one because, it seems just plain goofy to my simpleton mind.
For those of you who cannot read (sorry)
“ashita no koto wo iu to tenjou no nezumi ga warau.”You should really type that in kana – roumaji burns my eyes! XD

継続は力なり Persistence, turns into power. Or mostly, persistence IS power.
諸行無常 a four kanji idiom meaning, all things are transitory. Or the impermanence of all things.

Even monkeys fall from trees. (ie – nobody is perfect)嘘つきは泥棒の始まり。
(うそつきはどろぼうのはじまり。)
A liar is a beginning of a thief. (ie – don’t lie, it’s a slippery slope) ;)oh gawd, that first one is used so much! Heh heh. Gotta love ‘em.
