Hi, I am a big reader and a huge consumer of manga. I want to be able to read manga and novels in Japanese and not have to wait years for English translations. That is the main reason why I want to learn Japanese. I also love Japanese music and while I try to sing the songs by sounding out the lyrics, I would love to know what I am singing about without having to look up an English translation.
