Studio Ghibli is awesome! From Studio Ghibli I have seen “Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind,” “Princess Mononoke,” “Spirited Away,” and “Ponyo.”
Gotta say that Ponyo was not that impressive :/ There was not enough climatic development to me. A lot of it seemed to be rambling through with no clear objectives, and the childlike innocence of the ending didn’t cut it for me.
I loved Nausicaa and Princess Mononoke. Those are some classics!
@Joel: Anything in particular I need to look for from Mamoru Hosoda?
I have seen Seven Samurai before, but I’ll check out Throne of Blood!
When I began learning Japanese I tried to do my hiragana following an “American” order (a-e-i-o-u), but I found it difficult to keep this up, as every Japanese hiragana board I’ve ever seen goes in the Japanese order (a-i-u-e-0). I gave up shortly and I don’t regret it!
According to Jisho.org, 会長 is a chairman or president of a company! Sounds a bit too prestigious to describe me!
I think you may be on to something though. Maybe バンドのせんせい, （バンドの先生） would work good.Maybe ケーキの装飾家 for cake decorator.
