Hello everyone.
right now I’m in Amsterdam, tomorrow is the day of our flight to Tokyo.
I’m still looking for a pocket wifi device for the time in Japan but I couldn’t get one unfortunately. I just can’t live without internet… >_> But I will try to get one right at the airport. Maybe it works! :)
Does anyone has experiences with that device? A friend of mine who is also in Tokyo right now has one and seems to be really happy with it. But he preordered one a long time before his arrival, that’s why he has one – and I don’t. Because he leaves Tokyo soon I won’t see him and now I’m hoping for finding a store right at the airport that rents those devices.
I heard about those pocket Wifi devices.
A friend of mine was using it during his travel Through Japan.

But the price is per day and I don’t know if there is a limitation. I just know that you have to reserve one before, I tried to get one a few days before my visit in Japan started and they were out if stock…
Hello guys, it’s me again.So it’s time for me to travel. Almost. About 10 days and then a dream comes true.
A friend asked me to buy him some j-pop related stuff, like merchandise or familiar stuff. Is there a certain shop for this in Tokio or can I find it in music stores? I’m talking about goodies like shirts, prints or figurines.
We’re visiting only Tokio so we’re going by train most of the time (I love trains btw) and I was wondering if there’s some kind of weekly city ticket we can buy for save some money? We have something like that here in Germany for every big city :)
Alright then. Maybe I’m just too ‘online’ with my life. My boyfriend also asked me not to do it, because we’re also have a little vacation over there. I need to calm down :)
We finally got our hotel, a nice app for traveling but still I’m very nervous! I’ve been slacking of with my japanese studies for about 2 months now and I’m trying to keep the stuff in my head that’t already inside. It’s hard to study alone.
Still 65 days to go! >_<

Seems like nobody needed anymore help for their Japan trip :) That’s good to hear!So, finally we have 2013 (happy new year!!) and my trip to Japan is coming so very close that I’m really getting nervous!! >_<
My boyfriend found an app for iPhone and Android that helps us to find the sightseeing spots in Tokyo. For what I can see for now it seems very helpful, I’m going to tell you everything about it when we can actually test/use in Tokyo by ourselves! ;) Or maybe some people already tested it? Any reviews?
mTrip Tokyo Travel GuideI was also thinking about renting a cellphone for taking photos and uploading them right away and that’s where my question start: Is it profitable? Or shall I wait until I am in my hotel in the evening to upload them via Wifi? I tried to check some prices but I’m at work right now and can’t really scroll through google :P But I’m so curious right now!! If it’s about 20$ a week I would rent one…

anyone else have any good ideas for things to do while traveling to Japan in the month of December and first like 5 days of January, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.I’ve heard of the big new years festivals and visiting a shrine and getting those new years gift bags. I think one day can be filled with these kind of stuff :)

But I think I won’t go that far away from Tokyo because we’re short on money to do the bigh trips :D
I was thinking about staying 3-4 days in Tokyo, than visit an onsen around Hakone for 2 days, then back to Tokyo for a day or two (just staying in another hotel) and I really want to visit Edo Wonderland for one day. We’re staying there for around 13 days so of course there is still a lot of space for more action but I’m still looking and unsure what to do…Thank you, missingno15! I’m going to mail them right away, I’m so curious.
Right now I’m checking about that Japan Rail Pass and I was wondering if there’s a need for me to get one?
I still have no real plans about where I go when I’m there but I don’t think I will travel more that 3 times (for 1 or 2 days) outside of Tokyo. The costs for me and my boyfriend for that ticket would be over 1.000 USD.
I think it may be cheaper for us if we buy traintickets directly at the station if there’s need to. Maybe there are weekly train tickets? Does somebody has experience with that?Oh wow! I’d really like to see that! :O Can I already send an application or is that still too far ahead?? ’cause I’m visiting Tokyo in April next year…

I’m happy to have someone speaking German here, because MY english isn’t that good haha!Hey ゼロス, I’ve tried to get a reservation in a few onsen hotels but they always said it’s full! D: and it’s still about 9 months till I want to visit the hotel. is it always that full?
Finally I’m going to visit Japan in March/April 2013 – I hope I can see a lot of stuff! We just bought our flight tickets – and now we (my boyfriend and I) need to get our trip planned as good as possible. I feel a little unsafe now but I hope by study the language I can solve a few problems! :D I hope I can count on a few people here by asking all kinds of (sometimes silly) questions!!
I’m planning on a 2-week trip to Japan for next april.
The flights are booked now we (my boyfriend and I) need a nice entertainment for the time being.
I’ve been thinking about traveling to a few places like the edo wonderland and a Fuji-san tour with a one-night stay at a realy onsen inn.
Now I was wondering about our travel-bags. Of course you need quite some stuff for the time being but always carrying the huge suitcase is troublesome – not just for me. Any suggestions about how to solve the problem?
We’re planning on to stay in Tokyo the whole time but getting 2 or 3 times to other hotels outside of Tokyo to see some other places…
