    And, on that note, I fully intend to do so. There are definitely things that I miss from the US, like for example being able to pay my darn bills online and not at the stupid convenience store, or being able to use my credit/debit card anywhere (many, if not MOST places here are cash only). But for the most part it is great here and I have very little intention of leaving.

    @Joel, haha, yes I am a Marathon fan. And yes, it is great living here. I still have two years here in the Navy, but I will most likely be able to stay here if I want to when I transfer, and I fully intend to do so!

    @Noah, “electric town” (I’ve never heard it called this myself, but hey it’s all good) is Akihabara. Good to hear you had a nice trip! :) I love this country, and I don’t plan on leaving when my tour is up in the Navy.

    Hi KJ! Good luck on learning Hiragana. I would recommend you get some kind of whiteboard (dry erase board) to use at your house or study area or whatever. Just keep writing and writing and writing and you will get it. I have one in my home and it was invaluable for my learning of Hiragana and Katakana.
