One question on this, just curious of the correct pronunciation for 生まれた日 (not sure how to pronounce the 日 in this context)

うまれたひ? That’s what my IME tells me =P

This was a great idea, Keep it up Koichi =)

I hope you have a week or 2 of these planned out in advance, knowing your track record for keeping up with things ;)

jkl is on the right track here… fugu is teaching you the basics and the building blocks that will help you understand enough of the language so that you can go out and learn more on your own. The 10,000 sentences article there gives a good idea of what you’re currently missing… actually using the language, logging the hours listening/reading/writing/speaking.

I’d say most of the sentences you see in fugu are simply examples of how grammar is used, things are conjugated, etc. (That and Koichi loves sentences about sushi and eathing).

I don’t think there’s one single site on the internet that will teach you everything you need to know about the language, but fugu is very good at teaching you how to learn

Koichi, have you posted any kind of roadmap lately that includes a loose timeline for some of the newer sections and overhaul/finishing up current seasons?

I’m also curious when that conversation section is going to start getting some lessons filled in… Not saying ‘OMGHAY FINISH NAO!’ just curious when you expect to have something available in there ;)

2 good films I’ve just watched yesterday on netflix (downloadable):

    Big Man Japan
    Adrenaline Drive

Both are hard subbed on download.

Hulu sucks anyways due to ads… If their paid service got rid of the adverts then it might be something to be jealous of ;)

Check out Big Man Japan, it’s on netflix… funny stuff =)

in reply to: New/Revised Kanji deck? Whared eet gho? #14916

    FIXT! awesome =)

So far, I like the flow of it MUCH better than the old decks… Looking forward to the changes in the kanji section!

Audio would definitely be a nice edition, but not totally necessary. I know it’s a lot more work. If there’s audio up on the lessons then no need of course =)

Watch your new episodes dubbed/subbed then, but then go back and find the ones you’ve already seen in Japanese and cover up/turn off subtitles.

OIC… the last slash should be a dot =) Koichi’s fingers need to go on a diet!

Currently addicted to Bleach… and found out you can turn off subtitles on some of the later seasons (on hulu that is).
