Congrats Mark
i think the most rewarding part of learning Japanese is that i’m now recognizing the hirigana, and when i got to dakuten and saw the pattern it made me soooooo happy.
remember that everyone works at their own pace. in the race between the tortoise and the hare, while the tortoise won, they both finished the race. its now about how fast you can learn it, its about learning japanese
@ missingno15: very cafefully, i work at a hotel so when there is down time i can squeeze in some study time, plus once school starts we will be slower and i might not get the full 40 hours
@winterpromise 31: thanks, i was thinking 30 mins would be good. though i hope to get more than that per day, but my goal is a minimum of 30 mins. i just wanted to be sure that wasn’t too short a time
what would be the minimum time i should spend each day studying, the thing is i start college full time, and will be working full time starting in a few weeks? any recommendations?
@Armando Thanks, i’ll keep that in mind.
to whoever told me to do mother nature a favor and get the pdf format of it i’d like to say this:
i appreciate your suggestion and will get it so i can have it for portability on my Nook, but you can’t make notes in a pdf file. at least not the way i like to, also i would be sparing mother nature by buying a used copy instead of a brand new one.
i’m a little new, but could tell me what RTK stands for? and if its books, does anyone have used ones they are done with they might be willing to sell?
has anyone tried japanesepod101.com ? it was recommended to me and i was wondering if anyone had tried to use it.
@hey, yeah its more like you can either chat in the chat room, no guarantee you’ll find someone from japan in the chat room all the time, or look up someone specific and see if they’ll help you with japanese, or any other language you want to learn. its more one on one
you might want to try interpals.net, its a pan pal site where you can do language exchange. in other words you help someone with english and they help you with japanes. there are TONS of people on it from all over the world.
guess it just took a little while, thnx
i can’t get a pic to show up as my profile image? help me please
i’ve learned them by simply writing the hirigana, and will do the same with the katakana, over and over while speaking it.
born in ohio, raised in south west michigan and now going to school in western new york
