A couple of things:
- ５時に <– use に when dealing with time
ex: 午前５時に起きました - 忙しい isn’t usually used with places/cities and the like. にぎやか is what you’re looking for.

Also it might be a bit above your level, but I think a better way to phrase this may be more like, 「(私は)５時に『東京』というにぎやかな市に行きます。」 — At 5:00, I will go to the bustling city called Tokyo.

Will do! I like to struggle with it on my own at first though. I find it helps me learn better if I go hunting for the answer myself :)
Hey, just completed season 4 here. Everything’s starting to mesh together to the point it’s just becoming a daily habit to review grammar and do all my anki reviews. Starting to pick up the pace a little on WK too.
@Justin I used RTK for a little while, and for your purposes you won’t be disappointed. The only reason I stopped RTK was because I was frustrated that I didn’t know how to read the Kanji. I guess everyone learns differently, but I haven’t had too much trouble remembering readings and meanings. The main thing that got me to improve my reading was to just do my vocabulary. Some words it’s become rare that I recognize it as “Oh yeah, this jugoku uses both on’yomi readings” instead of “Oh it’s that word, it’s pronounced like this”. I’d still like to credit my short time with RTK to the bit of a head start on kanji. Mostly because it taught me how to learn the Kanji. Anyways, grats on season 2!
Yeah definitely. I was really nervous at first even to make corrections on English posts, but everyone on there has been so warm and welcoming that I’ve kind of gotten addicted to it. It’s hard to understand when I receive feedback in Japanese, but I like to take that as a challenge to learn even more beyond what I was originally writing. Lang-8 has easily become my favorite site.
Thanks. I suppose I’ll keep chugging along with textfugu until I feel I’ve hit that point. At the very least I can say TF gave me the jump start I really needed to motivate myself with the language. Doing RTK before grammar/vocab/anything was just absolutely frustrating. I’ll take a look at WaniKani and see if it’s what works for me.
