Uh oh, conflicting reports!!
The first stuff looks good, I guess he is moving away from Anki as people can theoretically download his work and share it with everyone (so it is harder to show value-added for signing up).
That is fine, but unless it is thorough, and is on the way to having 1500-2000 kanji, fully developed with vocab, I don’t really want to plonk down 40-80 bucks a year for something half-baked. Anyone else done a lot with this?
Has anyone used the Wanikani site? I was considering it before, but seeing the state of this site I am a little worried I am throwing money at another alpha-version.
Does he even check these forums any more? I feel like Koichi has fallen off the face of the earth, or perhaps is focusing on WaniKani because it costs more, is arguably easier, and there is a LOT of work in this page waiting to be done. Such a shame, the potential was so great here, could be the best resource for beginners, but I am starting to feel more and more ripped off the further I go, the emptier it is.
Thanks for the replies. Yeah, it is just such a shame as up until now I thought this was the BEST resource, but now I feel I am missing out on a LOT of stuff. Will just be a pain to switch to a different learning “system”, but I guess it must be done.
I try to report every mistake I see, but far too many now so given up.
