Second, I don’t recall hearing it without the つ sound. WaniKani and Jisho have the same audio for it, which pronounces the つ sound. I don’t know how to get the Anki audio to play, but I would assume the つ sound is correct.

I’m trying to prevent the “congratulating oneself by taking days off” thing from happening. I’m being a bit more involved in pacing this time around, which help. I’ve been here for a little over five years now. Gotta get that progress.

On Android I use Podcast Addict to keep up with it. It has some short bits (Between 4 and 15 minutes) and long bits (15 – 50+).

This place is a wasteland :(Hi, Akasen! Isn’t it a huge difference between visiting as a young child and then later when you’re matured enough to grasp just how different things are? You can even do it with things around you in your normal life if you get into the right mindset. Sometimes, when I’m commuting to and from work, I like to try to get into the mindset of a foreigner and look at things as if I’ve never seen them before. I suggest giving that a shot, you might notice or experience something you didn’t think you would in your hometown. :D

The important thing is that you keep coming back to try again. Just like people quitting smoking (and drinking), they same process really applies to picking UP a habit :D Just ask me, I’ve only had a lifetime membership for…three or four years, now, and I just recently got to Season 2!
And now I’m sick and my throat is swollen, so I have to stop because shadowing is hard :(
Anyway, I’ve found coming to the forums often and keeping in touch with everyone is helping to remind me to study. Maybe that might help?
