I really love this one! Even my friends/family who don’t know Japanese like the video and the song.
I’ve not been updating in this thread much at all, but I’m here to report that after 6 months I have completed season 8 of Textfugu!
It probably helped that I abandoned kanji and kanji vocab here in favor of WaniKani, but nonetheless, here I am.
This wasn’t my only resource but it’s crazy how much I’ve improved since June. Thanks Koichi!
Seconding the Studio Ghibli suggestion. They go way beyond simple kids’ anime films and make things anybody can enjoy.
Finally got season 3 finished up! I’ve jumped ahead of that level of material in Genki grammar-wise and in WaniKani vocab/kanji-wise so my TextFugu motivation dropped pretty significantly. I really think, though, that going over things in TextFugu solidifies it all much better than any other resource I’ve tried so far, so it’s important to keep advancing here.
