Also, I gave Wanikani a looking at during it’s early phases, wasn’t too impressed, however. Worth looking further into?

Hey Michael, yep, I do remember you. Specifically because of your icon. lol. It’s great to be back in the Japanese game.

I had finished all available seasons, and lessons at the time, and was well on my way to heading to Seattle for the JLPT. However, other more pressing matters came up, and required my immediate attention. I have been fairly busy, but am now ready to continue my studies.

Well initially I wanted to join the Navy, however due to some issues with my education I wasn’t applicable. I didn’t just jump into it, I have had a lot of time to think about where I want to go, and how to get there. The ARMY will help me with college, plus I can get paid to learn new and fascinating languages. So I’m pretty happy.

    @Narc
Yeah, I know about that, I’m probably going to cram as much as possible until then. In between my daily work out sessions. So basically, I will be away from kanji for at least a minimum of nine weeks, probably fourteen. (From what I’ve heard from friends in the service.)

Okie doke, thanks for the advise. Nah, I never did RTK, I have it, I just don’t like the teaching method. D: Too slow.

I am joining enlisted, so I’ll probably try the smart phone thing for the first while and see if I like it.

    Just think logically and rationally.

I believe Stephen King once said, that if you do any one task for at least thirty minutes a day, in a number of years you will be a master of said subject.

Think to yourself, “If I am serious enough about this, I WILL be a master in my own time.” Take your time, but don’t leave large intervals, of time in between. Practice, at least enough to make yourself happy.

    That’s what it’s all about right? :D

Soon enough, you’ll look back on this and laugh with much gusto, as you are on your last JLPT/Kanken and owning that which you are most capable.

    Keep up the ‘lence, yo.

一日(いちにち)can also be used as one day, in a (some day) kind of way. Wow, that’s a mouth-full.

Still working on kanji, all of the JY list memorized, +(~) 1,000 more. For some reason, I have built a systematic way of memorizing kanji. Now, it’s all I want to do, when I should really probably be focusing on grammar again. Bwah.

Not a waste, it is a proof between US/JPN that you “are adept in Japanese”

That being said, it has a bit of ‘impress’ value for when looking for work.

    Not wasteful, proactive.

(Which like lang-8, deals with many languages. However, the site can be buggy from time to time.

    Hoopy-frood.

I’ve also since seeing it, coined a slightly variated expression.

    “Keep up the froodulence”

aside from that, probably the little guy, saying that long drawn out mono about time travel.

    :D
